Digitization: Though Section 1 of the Odisha Gazette (Extraordinary), High Court of Orissa’s notification dated 13 September 2021 stipulates destruction of any judicial records, books or papers after their conversion to electronic format in accordance with Section 7 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the fragile records up to 1950 are not to be destroyed because of their archival value. While digitizing the records the same parameter are to be followed as much as possible as in the case of non-fragile records.
